Welcome to the The Internet Safety Awards presented by Infragard Hawaii, FBI, Sassy and G Magazine.

Update, Monday, October 13, 2008 - The ISA is now in full swing. Once again, the Hawaii State Department of
Education, Microsoft, YouTube, Oceanic Cable, Sprint and other loyal advertisers are once again partnering
with us to make the 2009 Internet Safety Awards even better than the 2008 ISA Awards.

Update, Thursday, October 2, 2008 - National Cyber Security Awareness Month October has been designated as National Cyber Security Awareness Month to bring attention to the importance of protecting yourself, your family and your information online.

Every October, the National Cyber Security Division of Homeland Security coordinates with states, universities and the private sector to educate the public and provide tools to help them engage in safe online activities. Through education on cyber security, American will be empowered to protect themselves online and protect their computer from being used to attack others.

By protecting yourself on the Internet, you also protect others.

Partnerships are the Key to National Cyber Security Awareness Month

Homeland Security has key awareness partners to help effectively educate all citizens. These partnerships make National Cyber Security Awareness Month happen by bringing multiple events and people to participate in this national event. These key partners are:

  • The National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA) focuses on home users, small businesses, kindergarten through high school plus university students.
  • The Multi-State Information Sharing and Analysis Center (MS-ISAC) focuses on state and local employees and helps them communicate about Cyber Security to the public.
